King Law Lead Conversion Team Internship Program

 Purpose

To provide college students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Business, Communications, or related fields with hands-on experience in client relations and business development within a law firm environment. Interns will learn how to engage prospective clients, manage leads, and support the firm’s intake and conversion processes while working closely with the Lead Conversion Team.

 Program Structure

Type: Unpaid, for academic credit
Duration: 12 weeks with 1 week for time off

 Learning Objectives

By the end of the program, the student will be able to:

1.     Explain how client intake and lead conversion processes operate within a professional services organization.

2.     Demonstrate communication and sales techniques for engaging potential clients and building relationships.

3.     Apply organizational and time management skills to track and follow up with leads effectively.

4.     Utilize HubSpot/Clio to manage client information and measure conversion progress.

5.     Communicate professionally and empathetically to enhance the client experience.

Intern Responsibilities

·       Assist the Lead Conversion Team in contacting and following up with prospective clients.

·       Support the scheduling of consultations, meetings, and calls with potential clients.

·       Enter and update lead information accurately in HubSpot/Clio.

·       Help track lead activity, follow-up progress, and conversion outcomes.

·       Participate in team discussions about improving client intake processes.

·       Observe potential client interactions to understand service delivery and communication best practices.

Mentorship & Evaluation

·       Weekly Check-In: 15-minute progress meeting with LCT Sales Manager.

·       Midpoint Review: Progress assessment using a short evaluation form.

·       Final Presentation: 10-minute summary of what was learned and recommendations for process improvement.

·       School Credit Documentation: Signed by GM and/or Talent Manager at completion.

 Program Overview and What to Expect

Throughout the internship, students will experience the business side of law firm operations through client engagement and lead management. The program begins with an introduction to King Law’s mission, culture, and client service systems. Interns will learn how the Lead Conversion Team serves as the first point of contact for potential clients, gaining experience in intake procedures, client communication, and relationship building.

As the internship progresses, students will contribute to lead tracking, follow-up systems, and the refinement of client conversion strategies. This internship provides valuable experience in communication, organization, and data management, preparing students for future roles in business, marketing, or client relations.

 Eligibility

·       College students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.

·       Recommendation from a faculty advisor or internship coordinator.

·       Ability to receive school credit required.
